About Maeform Labs

Close to the work.Clear about the process.

A Maryland-based engineering and prototyping studio founded by mechanical engineers Matthew and Andrew Chesnut.

Why Maeform

Imagining an object is one thing. Making it work is another.

Maeform Labs was started to help close the distance between an idea and a working result. Building what you can imagine can be difficult: requirements are incomplete, manufacturing choices matter, and the first version rarely answers every question.

We create a practical path through that uncertainty—from design and engineering to prototypes, testing, and refinement. Project scoping, design review, and delivery stay close to the people doing the work.

The founders

Mechanical engineering from two complementary directions.

Matthew and Andrew lead Maeform together, combining robotics, product design, prototyping, and manufacturing experience.
